Call for the immediate halt of Vastria CCAC

21 April 2026 – ELA joins 25 organisations in calling for the immediate halt of all plans to construct, open, or operate the Vastria Closed Controlled Access Centre (CCAC) on Lesvos. The development of this facility, within the framework of Law 5226/2025 and the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, constitutes a direct threat to fundamental human rights.

18 March 2026 – The EU is currently negotiating a Deportation (“Return”) Regulation to expand and normalise immigration raids and surveillance measures across our communities. The European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union must listen to these concerns and reject the Deportation Regulation.
