We welcome applications from lawyers/barristers and legal counsels with experience in asylum law. On an exceptional basis, consideration will be given to the review of applications from trainee lawyers and postgraduate law students, but subject to full-time long-term commitment (minimum 2 months) and previous similar experience in Greece. Equal Legal Aid will cover some of the field expenses, upon receipt.
During your volunteering time at Equal Legal Aid, you will undergo proper training on the functioning of the European Asylum Service. You will also regularly participate in workshops and conferences linked to the activities of the organisation.
Some of the activities and tasks you are expected to undertake:
- Legal and judicial monitoring, legal research, training, advocacy activities and country condition report research;
- Street-work sessions and legal clinics;
- Individual consultations.
