04.06.2025 – In early May, Greek media reported that the Ministry of Migration and Asylum issued a verbal directive to the authorities of refugee camps across Greece to evict beneficiaries of International Protection as well as rejected asylum seekers from their facilities. No guidance on alternative accommodation solutions was provided.

22.05.2025 – A Greek court has ruled that asylum seekers living in reception facilities must be notified of decisions in person. The court rejected the growing practice of email notifications, deeming it unlawful and harmful to the right to appeal, particularly in light of the increasing digitalisation of asylum procedures, which often neglect the specific vulnerabilities of this population.
