09.06.2025 – ELA joins the 117 humanitarian, medical, and human rights organisations in urging the Greek government to take immediate action to stop the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. We condemn the ongoing blockade, the collapse of the health system, and the targeting of civilians and aid workers, and call for a permanent ceasefire and unimpeded access to humanitarian aid.
04.06.2025 – In early May, Greek media reported that the Ministry of Migration and Asylum issued a verbal directive to the authorities of refugee camps across Greece to evict beneficiaries of International Protection as well as rejected asylum seekers from their facilities. No guidance on alternative accommodation solutions was provided.

The court rejected the growing practice of email notifications, deeming it unlawful and harmful to the right to appeal, particularly in light of the increasing digitalisation of asylum procedures, which often neglect the specific vulnerabilities of this population.
