18 March 2026 – The EU is currently negotiating a Deportation (“Return”) Regulation to expand and normalise immigration raids and surveillance measures across our communities. The European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union must listen to these concerns and reject the Deportation Regulation.
3 March 2026 – Asylum seekers in Greece have not received regular cash assistance payments since April 2024. The cash cards are used for the payment of the monthly allowances, to which asylum seekers are legally entitled. These continued delays have left people without a consistent income for almost 21 months, effectively denying asylum seekers their legal right to dignified living conditions.
21 January 2026 – Working for an organisation registered in the “NGO Registry” of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum becomes a punishable offence with the proposed changes to Articles 24 and 25 of the Migration Code.
